A Casual, Retro Wine Bar Focused
on Old School French Cuisine

We at Meurette aim to create a safe, welcoming place for all that can transport our guests to a time and place where meals took all day to prepare and were served with the love of Grandmére (Grandmother in French).

Meurette grew out of the Grandmére Supper Club, a pop-up supper club with the same love of slow-cooked French country food, from 2019 to 2025. Grandmére came to be out of a desire to share the love of slow-cooked French country food and of great parties.

Chef and owner, Mary Anne Lowe, spent her entire adult life working in the food and beverage industry. Culinary school honed her appreciation for fine food. Travel and practice refined it. And in recent years she discovered her passion for creating the kind of food that requires you to slow down, take time, and commune in the kitchen.

Meurette PDX specializes in old-school French classics like cassoulet, coq au vin, and pot au feu. Every dish is deeply researched and made time-honored cooking methods and hearts full of love.

We can't wait to see you.

Bon appétit!
